Job Summary
The Financial Aid Student Support Representative works under the direction of the Campus Director and the Director of the Central Financial Aid Office (CFAO). The Student Support Representative is responsible for providing prospective students with a financial aid (FA) estimate/overview, working closely with Admissions on the process of admitting students, providing loan counseling information, collecting documents, providing required information to the Campus Director and Ross Management and performing related work as required.

Requirements
High school or GED equivalent
1+ years work experience in banking, office administration, or general office with emphasis on customer service or related work
Some post-secondary education is preferred
Comfortable asking students for payments and fees
Strong math and financial recordkeeping skills
Reference and background check required for employment, including credit check
Strong attention to detail & accuracy, and commitment to quality
Ability to organize your work and meet deadlines
Demonstrate professionalism in manner, dress and conduct as a representative of Ross and a student mentor
Ability to work at least two evenings a week
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Provide students with a financial aid estimate/overview and explaining the various forms of financial aid (Title IV grants and loans, Ross Education Payment Plan, etc.)
Support the initial student experience and registration process by exemplifying a positive customer service approach
Follow up with students in the collection of documents as requested
Assist students at FA kiosk/computer as needed for FA processing
Provide entrance and exit loan counseling
Handle some account receivable functions including: accepting registration fee and other limited payments at the campus, distributing receipts, making bank deposits, etc.
Review ledger cards regularly to ensure all funds are received and follow up on delinquent students
Review directives and memos from the CFAO, as well as attend all mandatory training sessions provided by the CFAO
Assist in collection activity for the Ross Payment Plan, and other student payment plans
Follow all Ross Policies and Procedures and be vigilant about compliance
Assist with front desk coverage
Be the designated back-up for the Career Services Student Support Representative
