Middle Size Southern Ohio Fabrication facility is seeking a Drafting / Detailer / CAD Specialist. We would like to have this individual with experience in the drawings of welded metals, heavy construction steel fabrications including structural steel, plate work and various types of rolling and bending.
Responsibilities and Duties
⢠Performs drafting operations for the determination of project plans and collects data for project designs.
⢠Based on experience, shop supervision opportunities may exist
⢠Prepares drawings for Engineering Projects
⢠Develops and drafts and performs the detailing of engineering drawings in preparation of shop floor routings to the shop,
⢠Performs material take-offs in preparation of procurements of materials.
⢠Maintains dynamic communication with customers, clients, engineers and the general public for sales, engineering or construction issues
⢠Performs regular computer software and AutoCAD maintenance, upgrading and troubleshooting
⢠Maintains up to date working and technical knowledge of all procedural and improvement changes to computer hardware and software applications
Other Duties and Responsibilities
⢠Creates detail drawings such as fabrication plans for projects.
⢠Scheduling to meet customer requirements
⢠Estimating for Customer Proposals
⢠Preparing hardline drawings, and all miscellaneous tasks as needed by team members of a project.
⢠Creates Bill of Materials and Take Offs.
⢠Assist in the Procurement of Materials.
⢠Supporting actively in the project team collective effort.
⢠Works with Shop Employees for quality and smooth cost efficient processes.
⢠Preparing as-built record keeping of information and drawings as well
⢠Performing CAD assignments in accordance with company standards.

Education and Qualifications
⢠Degree in Computer Aided Design related field.
