ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS - FULL TIME - MORGANTOWN CAMPUS

Job Summary
The Assistant Campus Director of Admissions works under the direction of the Regional Director of Admissions with dotted line accountability to the Campus Director and VP of Admissions. The Assistant Campus Director of Admissions develops the skills of Admissions Representatives and oversees and contributes to the admissions outcomes at the campus. He/She will ensure the use of best practices, meet customer service standards and follow compliance requirements to achieve campus enrollment and retention goals. The Assistant Campus Director of Admissions also performs all the duties of an Admissions Representative while driving activity and providing oversight for campus admissions.

Requirements
Two years direct sales experience in admissions, recruiting, intangible or other sales with a High School diploma or GED. Associates or Bachelors degree from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council of Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) preferred.
Ability to build collaborative relationships with a diverse customer population through active listening, noting reactions, asking discovery questions and understanding motivations.
Ability to generate new student prospect referrals from customer base and community
Ability to give one-on-one presentations and conduct interviews
Ability and desire to make extensive outbound phone calls, using phone outlines to set appointments
Results driven with the ability to promote the benefits of higher education
1+ years post-secondary education admissions experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated leadership, communication and coaching skills
Ability to conduct one-on-one training
Education and work experience requirements may differ based on state and accrediting organizations standards
Reference and background check required for employment, including credit check
Protection of student and/or employee privacy is expected in the handling of confidential and/or financial information
Protection of the corporation and privacy of corporate proprietary and confidential information is expected
Must be able to remain stationary for extended periods of time, such as call blocks, teaching sessions, student appointments, etc.
Must have sufficient visual and auditory ability to operate computer equipment, use telephone, read materials, and office equipment
Professional communication encompasses written, oral, visual and digital communication. Successful communication skills are required for working at Ross and involve the following: writing, reading, editing, speaking, listening, software applications, data entry and reporting, and Internet research.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Communicating multiple times daily with the Regional Director of Admissions.
Developing Admissions Representative skills through initial and ongoing training
Assist in conducting training to admissions representative utilizing Ross approved training resources and manuals
Provide instant coaching
Assist with Employment and Retention
Assist with interviewing, when needed
Be a mentor and leader to new employees
Working as an Admissions Representative:
Developing Student Prospects
Handle telephone inquiries (both inbound and outbound), referrals and walk-ins
Set up personal interviews to gather the information necessary to guide the student to the program of choice
Provide school catalog and appropriate addendum(s)
Provide the Student Right to Know and Bureau of Labor Statistics data
Meet assigned goals
Generate outcomes from personally developed leads
Refer Students to another staff member for administration of entry evaluation
Determine entry status in accordance with school/program requirements
Discuss results with student and make recommendations for acceptance or rejection (suggests six month return for retest and adult education refresher for those who do not qualify)
Any students requiring special accommodations should be referred to the Campus Director
Communicate with Financial Aid Coordinators so the Student is processed in a timely manner
Conduct Student registrations
Compile student admissions file
Secure student signature on required forms
Issue student copies of appropriate documents
Maintain up-to-date class lists
Maintain consistent level of follow-up to ensure start, such as stitch insĀ, weekly voice to voice contacts, etc.
Facilitate Student start
Be available to greet new students starting class
Follow-up on non-attendees
Orientation of New Students
Notify students of orientation dates
Be available to greet students attending orientation
Participate in orientation as needed
Follow-up with non-attendees
Support of Students
New students
Greet new students on first day/night of class
Call/contact no-shows/absences during first week of new class start
Be available to new students to answer questions during first few weeks of class
Promote good student retention
Establish and maintains a good rapport with students
Greet students by name
Refer student to appropriate staff member when a problem arises
Compliance
Follow Ross Guidelines and Admissions Dont and Dos
Follow all Ross Policies and Procedures
Product Knowledge
Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of all Ross Programs
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Ross classes and by the ability to present Ross Program features and benefits
Gather and Report Statistical data
Accurately enter all necessary data into CampusVue
Maintain weekly log of inquiries, interviews, and registrations
Actively maintain database of inquiries by entering information and setting appropriate follow up activities
Submit appropriate weekly reports in a timely manner to Regional Director of Admissions and EVP of Admissions
Maintain acceptable conversion rates
Perform related work as required
