Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Greeting and sitting the patient
Updating medical information
Reviewing oral hygiene habits and educating/advising patients accordingly
Taking oral radiographs
Performing oral cancer examinations
Doing periodontal charting once a year
Performing dental prophy's, perio maintenance, and scaling and root planning
Fluoride applications
Charting proposed, existing, and completed treatment
Maintenance of instruments and equipment used
Aid in treatment planning if applicable
Walking your patient out and scheduling the next recall visit
Some work experience will be best but not a limiting factor.We look for qualities that also include; teamwork, highly motivated, efficient, honest, punctual, & responsible are all skills we are looking for in the hygienist who will join our team. Must have an understanding of good customer service.
Preferred experience: 1+ years
Required license or certification: Virginia Register Dental Hygienist Certificate and Certified to deliver Local Oral Anesthetic
