Immediate opening for an Assistant Community Manager of a large apartment community in Morgantown. This position will assist the Community Manager with all property operations and maintenance functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

-Meets and greets prospective residents.

-Conducts resident screening, approves potential resident applications and reviews qualifications.

-Collects deposits, ensures lease files are complete and posts in the accounting system.

-Collects rents, issues receipts as necessary and posts all necessary entries.

-Makes bank deposits daily as directed by the Community Manager.

-Conducts themselves and property business according to State and federal laws and regulations.

-Assists with property marketing activities.

-Prepares and sends notices of returned checks, late rent and other correspondence as assigned.

-Assists with legal proceedings as necessary.

-Investigates complaints, disturbances and violations and resolves problems.

-Answers resident questions.

-Assists with resident activities.

-Assists in writing maintenance service requests performed by the maintenance staff.

-Conducts property business according to company policy.

-Conducts errands for the property including the purchase of supplies, post office mailings, etc.

-Performs other duties as necessary to meet the needs of residents and the property.

Candidate must have 2 - 3 years of multifamily property management experience. Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and Regulations, building and grounds maintenance, resident relations, leasing, rent collections, etc. Must have superior customer service and communication skills.
