Field & Technical Services LLC (FTS) is a certified small business founded in 2006 in response to a growing need for environmental professionals who could provide expert Operations, Maintenance, and Monitoring (OM&M) support. FTS is a nationwide provider of environmental technical services. Our expanding workload in the Oil & Gas sector has created immediate full-time career opportunities operating out of our Carnegie, PA office.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

- Inspection of fittings/valves along pipelines transferring fresh and/or produced water in accordance with a site-specific plan. Inspections include a check for any potential spills, liner holes, overflow, leakage, vandalism, and compliance items (i.e., proper signage and site permit copies are maintained);

-Inspections of Right of Ways and active Construction areas using site-specific plans for proper E&S installation and/or deficiencies

-Calibration of water quality instruments; field testing and sample collection of water and soil;

- Inspections of storage and transfer facilities containing un-drained or stored freshwater or produced water in accordance with a site-specific plan. Inspections include a check for any potential spills, liner holes, overflow, leakage, vandalism, and compliance items (i.e., proper signage and site permit copies are maintained); and,

- Preparation of field inspection reports including field notes and photo logs capturing operational features, signage, issues and concerns.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

- 4 year college degree preferred with emphasis on natural sciences; or

-Any combination of education, experience and training equivalent to graduation from high school plus two years of work experience. Candidate must have a valid driver's license.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Clear and concise oral and written communication.

- Ability to read and understand site-specific Water Management Plan (WMP), Metering/Intake Plan,

Groundwater Protection Plan (GPP), and Spill Prevention I Response Plans, and General Construction

Plan Sets; knowledge of Best Management Practices (BMP) for Erosion and Sediment Control

- Excellent organizational skills.

- Experience using Microsoft Office computer software.

- Previous Safeland training or experience in the Oil & Gas industry is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires one to be able to walk/traverse rough, icy, broken terrain; go up and down steep hills and slopes. Must have the ability to work in extreme temperatures and inclement weather conditions.
