Volm Companies is currently hiring for a 1st shift Maintenance Electrician. This position is responsible for machine maintenance to ensure the machines are operating correctly, as well as building electrical maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Know, understand, and follow Lock out Tag out procedures
• Bend and run conduit correctly
• Ability to identify and use appropriate electrical tools
• Identify tripped breakers, blown fuses, and able to reset or replace them
• Complete basic wiring and more complex circuits
• Understand electrical drawings and schematics and PLC trouble shooting
• Ask questions to find answers to issues they don't know how to fix
• Prioritize which jobs or tasks should come first
• Understand production needs
• Help identify safety issues
• Maintain a clean work area and tools

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency Diploma
• Technical diploma in manufacturing electronics maintenance is desired
• Completed course work in PLC is desired
• Basic mathematical calculation skills
• Ability to read and follow oral and written instructions
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
• Basic computer knowledge

• Knowledge of Microsoft office and Manager Plus+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must have the ability to operate lift equipment (pallet jack or lift truck and battery-controlled lifts)
• Knowledge of AC/DC motor drivers
• Knowledge of DC circuitry and AC single and three phases
• Knowledge of programming logic controllers
