Job: Custodian/Janitor - Building Lead

Basic Job Details: You'll be responsible for keeping your assigned building clean within the time scheduled. This position will lead individuals and teams, train peers and subordinates at your assigned building. We'll provide you with a duty list and all the training you'll need to be successful. You'll also be responsible for maintaining supply orders and communicating directly with our customer and supervisory team.
Basic job duties include:
Dust and polish surfaces
Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables
Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, etc.
Sweep, mop and vacuum floors
Clean and stock restrooms
Perform quality inspections, security sweeps and supply orders
Maintain equipment and supplies to standards
Accept supervisor feedback and put it to good use
Learn and follow all safety and security procedures
May be required to cross train and/or perform other functions in other divisions of the company as assigned
Work Environment: We work in a variety of buildings (offices, schools, mills, plants, medical facilities). While the basic job remains the same, each facility has unique levels of debris, noise and varying temperatures. This position requires that you are able to work independently as well as around our customer and their employees.

REQUIREMENTS
Experience or training related to the job is preferred, but not required. Here are the "must have" tools of the trade:
DEPENDABILITY - It all starts here. You'll be the one responsible for your building, so it's important to our customers that they can rely on our employee for a 5-day per week position, then that's what you'll be expected to work.
TRANSPORTATION - You'll need to be able to reliably get to and from work each day.
HONESTY - You either have it or you don't. This is one thing we can't teach.
WILLINGNESS - You'll need to be coachable. We'll gladly teach you the "Jack's Way". You'll be the player in the field that "runs the plays" every day to score points with our customers.
UNDERSTANDING - You'll need to be able to read, write and understand instructions including how to handle cleaning chemicals, basic equipment and supplies and be able to independently maintain quality standards and time guidelines.
COOPERATION - You'll need to be able to work harmoniously with supervisors and customers.
PHYSICAL ABILITY - For your entire shift, this position requires a combination of frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, repetitive motion, carrying and/or lifting up to 50#.
