POSITION SUMMARY
The Fireplace Installer / Salesperson assists in all aspects of fireplace/woodstove installations, service and sales. This position provides for the installation/service of our products with a primary goal of complete customer satisfaction in an efficient manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist in all aspects of fireplace installations and inventory control on all fireplaces and related components.
Loading, unloading, cleaning, and maintenance of the installation truck. This includes maintenance of tools and equipment, putting away unused parts, as well as cleaning and maintenance of the truck.
Organize and maintain all fireplace venting components. Watch for new deliveries and be sure to put items away promptly.
Timely completion of necessary paperwork.
Assist with sales of fireplaces and woodstoves.
Clean and maintain hearth products in showroom (i.e. dusting/cleaning glass on all display units, organize/replenish literature, etc.).
Deliver product as necessary in a timely and professional manner.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Follow company policies and procedures.
Follow safety protocol.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to complete simple hearth product installation, test burn, and attachment of trim/components without
supervision.
Possess excellent inter-personal, customer service, communication and organizational skills
Must be honest, dependable, responsible, and possess the ability to work unsupervised.
Ability to lift at least 200 pounds safely.
Willingness to learn proper techniques for use and installation of all products sold.
Ability to learn fireplace/woodstove products and communicate that knowledge to customers.
Ability to communicate effectively.
EDUCATION
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience
Six months to one year related experience desired
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Computer Skills
Basic computer skills
Basic knowledge and use of hand tools, ladders, dollies, etc.
Other Requirements
Fireplace and/or construction knowledge or experience
Must possess a valid driver’s license; CDL a plus but not necessary
Ability to work on steep roofs, tall ladders, and high locations
Work every other Saturday as required
