We are looking for a courier to contract with our company.
Courier must have their own vehicle, we suggest you have a fuel efficient car as daily traveling can be up to 150 miles a day within a county and you will be responsible for your fuel costs.
You would be given a list of several businesses to stop at to pick up donations, you are responsible for planning your route in advance (knowledge of using a GPS or using online map services is helpful for this). You need to report to our office at least twice a week, first before going out on your run and second when you are complete with your run. Our office is located in Manitowoc.
We have been in business for over fifteen years in the same location. We have added on more work and as such we are looking for another courier. This is a flexible weekday part time position - this job is not a get rich quick opportunity. Our goal is to make sure your courier business makes money, typically around $100 a day. However since the pay is commission based, you could incur a loss. We take steps to prevent this, but there will be no guarantee made to what you will earn. We currently have FOUR full time couriers, and qualified courier applicants will be given a one day paid training with one of our couriers before starting on their own.
There is no selling involved. We have a sales team who coordinates all the stops for the couriers the day before the courier goes out on the run.
We are flexible
If a courier stays out of their home area (where it would be cost prohibitive for them to travel home each day) we will provide hotel accommodations. If a cell phone is needed we can borrow a basic phone for courier use (phone needed in case the sales team needs to call with a same-day pickup)
