Job Details

You will be responsible for the design and development of automated test systems, create test plans, develop procedural documentation, support existing equipment, and train technicians supporting the Accessory Business Unit.

You will be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

Support new product design teams through test development, data analysis and competitor benchmarking.
Provide feedback to engineering about testing requirements.
Design mechanical systems or sub-systems for test fixture development supporting NPD.
Provide advice for improving current testing methods.
Use statistical methods to interpret test data and make formal recommendations to product design teams.
Utilize LabVIEW, Visual Basic, and PLC programming for fixture development.
Develop test requirements per specifications during design phase of new products.
Prepare efficient test procedures from test specifications.
Prepare and maintain a variety of reports; manage documentation control systems.
Maintain test procedures and equipment according to departmental procedures.
Create documentation of test fixtures, theory of operation, and specifications.
Exhibit vision and foresight to test the extremes of a design.
Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget.
Act as technical resource to other areas of the business unit to address and resolve test issues.
Maintain technical competency and remain current in technology and changes in the industry.
Use Design of Experiments (DOE) analytical techniques.
Implement robotic and fully automated test systems
Develop, specify, and coordinate the build of test fixtures.
Conduct fatigue analysis using FEA
Completes design and development projects and provides training and guidance to lab technicians and engineering operators
Ability to travel 10% including international

What TOOLS you will bring with you:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a strong electrical and software background and or mechanical.
Knowledge of Test and Measurement techniques, including sensor technology, signal conditioning, measuring techniques, data acquisition and performance calculations.
Experience with programming languages such as LabVIEW, Visual Basic, C, and ladder logic.
Working knowledge of statistical methods and measurement uncertainty calculations.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Fanuc robot programming a plus
Design software skills including SolidWorks and SolidWorks Electrical
Must be a self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills
Proficient use of Microsoft Office
Knowledge of FEA
