Summit Credit Union, voted top work place by WSJ, has an exciting opportunity to join our growing IT team as the IT Infrastructure and Endpoint Manager.
In this role you will provide leadership and direction for the IT Infrastructure and Endpoint Delivery team. Deliver a repeatable, predictable, and secure endpoint experience for all credit union employees regardless of OS or device type, whether physical, virtual or cloud based. Implementing a high degree of automation to promote efficiency and continuous adoption of modern operating management techniques. Maintaining a secure environment through a rigorous patching and controls program around all endpoints, networks and network attached devices. Recommends and implements improvements to endpoint architecture and design. Responsibilities include strategy development, solution design, engineering and support, vendor management, project delivery, problem resolution and operational support across the credit union.
Essential Functions

  • Leadership
  • Drive, align and create strategy for technology areas in scope to meet objectives of the digital workplace strategy, IT and the credit union.
  • Foster an environment of continuous technology advancement and process improvement to build and maintain systems that meet the objectives of the credit union and IT
  • Provide direct leadership of team, support professional development, complete performance reviews, and ensure the team is meeting goals and expectations.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and create a culture of that enables Summit’s digital workplace strategy and builds new flexibility for the workforce
  • Demonstrate leadership in adoption, enablement, and influence to drive business goals
  • Involve business process management professionals to optimize work processes by rethinking, simplifying and redesigning them.
  • Foster the development of business technologists that apply specialized technical skills to the digital workplace autonomously to deliver competitive business results.
  • Innovation, Strategy and Roadmap
  • Build and maintain key stakeholder relationship across the technology organization (IT) and the broader credit union ensure alignment of strategies with business objectives
  • Seek out innovative technology trends that should be brought into the workplace and gather digital workplace best practices by participating in continuing education, peer groups and industry events.
  • Support and facilitate innovative digital workplace applications and strategies to test new ideas to support the future of work.
  • Partnering with other areas of IT and credit union to develop solutions or implement changes that support Summit’s digital workplace strategy
  • Partnering with other areas of IT and credit union explore and improve how employees digitally engage with each other, as well as with members and business partners.
  • As new technology or new applications are introduced to drive business innovation throughout the credit union adapt operations to align
  • Utilize organizational change management best practices to drive technology adoption.
  • Develop and publish roadmaps for technologies in areas of responsibility and align other technology roadmaps to team’s roadmaps
  • Operations
  • Responsible for operations delivering all operating systems (Windows, Mac, iOS) OS imaging and for all device whether physical, virtual or cloud based. Driving a modern Windows OS management practices.
  • Establish and maintain touchless provisioning of new endpoint devices administering and maintaining systems and automation. Utilize enterprise automation tools to create hands-free device deployment, administration, and revocation processes.
  • Implement automation for all aspects of the environment. Automate security patching, software deployment, and configuration changes to endpoint environment to all credit union supported target operating systems.
  • Ensure compliance with established policy and procedures maintain integrity of the asset inventory
  • Ensure timely remediate and report on end point vulnerabilities meeting or exceeding organizational guideline timeframes
  • Drive standards for documentation and ensuring appropriateness by audience
  • Set standards and drive automation software updates, software distribution and firmware updates on network equipment and network attached devices
  • Own lifecycle management of hardware and software
  • Experience with implementing and managing ITIL processes and aligning or establishing best practices for Summit’s internal processes
  • Security
  • Responsible for ensuring execution and adherence to company objectives around maintaining performance and security of the overall environment.
  • Develop an automation strategy for patch and software delivery that meets the credit union defined objectives for operation and security
  • Develop an automation strategy maintaining and updating all devices regardless of device type of OS
  • Develop an automation strategy for managing and updating network devices and network attached devices
  • Design and implement processes or procedures for managing images, OS levels, firmware levels, and related system attributes
  • Design and manage group policy throughout credit union for endpoints and related end user experience
  • Ensure proper operation and deployment credit union standard security settings, software clients and plugins for all points regardless of type
  • Measured Outcomes
  • Working closely with IT leadership and business leaders to develop internal and external measurements to demonstrate the effectiveness of the technical operations and their impact
  • Working closely with IT Security and IT leadership develop metrics that demonstrate the adequacy and compliance to credit union security objectives relative to areas within scope
  • Supporting a culture of transparency develop and publish metrics on overall team performance and system effectiveness relative to credit union objectives and norms.
  • Define success criteria and adopt methods to measure continuous progress against digital workplace strategy, as well as for IT or credit union objectives both short term and long term
  • Job Specifications
  • Four-year degree in IT related field or 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum seven years’ progressive professional experience and demonstrated strong technical acumen
  • Minimum of three years’ experience managing direct reports
  • Training and certification in Microsoft, Google, or Apple is a plus
  • Technical Background
    • Working knowledge of Windows enterprise management tools such as SCCM, MECM and Autopilot.
    • Working knowledge of Azure, Active Directory and management techniques for both on prem and cloud environments.
    • Understanding of Mac enterprise management software such as Jamf or KACE.
    • Working knowledge of various VDI technology, including VMWare and service like Azure desktop
    • Experience with Splunk is preferred but not required
    • Working knowledge of Windows, MacOS and IOS devices in an enterprise environment.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Collaboration tools.
    • Understanding of Jira, Confluence and ServiceNow
  • Professional well developed interpersonal skills essential for professional interactions with all levels of credit union staff under normal and adverse circumstances.
  • Strong communications, writing and editing skills needed to transfer information to individuals involved in systems support process.
  • Ability to communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Requires detailed, team oriented working style with the ability to apply critical thinking to resolve problems in new situations.
  • Previous experience documenting complex workflows and transforming into automated solutions.
  • Knowledge of data security practices and procedures.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
