Housekeeper is responsible for all duties of the housekeeping operations and

cleanliness levels in all areas of the property. The Executive Housekeeper will

promote an atmosphere that ensures guest and employee satisfaction. The

position requires strong attention to detail, leadership skills and the ability

to effectively deal with other members of the management team, guests and

employees.Duties and Responsibilities

Responsiblefor short and long-term planning and the management of the hotel’s housekeepingoperations.

Ensurecompany, federal, state and local health, sanitation and safety standard andregulations are maintained.

Maintaina regular inspection program based on Brand and property standards to ensurelevels of cleanliness are being met.

Recommendbudget, labor cost plans and objectives and manage within the approved plans.

Maintaina solid understanding of housekeeping and laundry supplies.

Trainemployees on the importance of greeting guests and assisting with theirrequests.

Developand maintain a consistent inspection program.

Partnerwith the General Manager to purchase linens and housekeeping supplies asneeded.

Monitorand develop team member’s performance including conducting performanceevaluations and delivering recognition.

Managedaily activities of the department. Plan and organize work, communicate goals,and schedule employees to ensure proper coverage.

Communicateand enforce all hotel policies and procedures.

Informmanagement of hazardous situations, emergencies or security threats.

Ensureproper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies by monitoring usage, providingtraining and ensuring proper labeling of hazardous supplies in accordance withfederal, state, local and company regulations.

Assistin recruiting and interviewing new team members as needed.

Conductnew hire and on-going training as needed.

Respondin a courteous and prompt manner to all guest question and/or concerns.

Maintainopen communication between management and employees.

Promptlyreport all maintenance concerns and follow up on repairs.

Researchand evaluate new product and methods to increase efficiency and productivity.

Responsiblefor developing performance standards, procedures and rules used to ensureproper and safe work habits and a safe work environment. Conduct regularlyscheduled training sessions on those safe work habits.

Job Requirements

Highschool or equivalent education required.

Aminimum of two years hotel housekeeping experience and one yearsupervisory/management experience is required.

Musthave strong leadership skills.

Excellentinterpersonal and communication skills with strong customer/client focusessential.

Strongproblem-solving skills.

Abilityto work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment.

Abilityto shift and manage multiple priorities.

Adaptableto change.

Understandand efficiently operate a computer.

Highlevel of flexibility regarding overtime during times busy periods as requiredby the business.
