POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Business Systems Compliance position focuses on implementing and maintaining the company's compliance with all applicable government reporting business systems. In particular, the position will oversee compliance and manage a team in each of the following areas: earned value management system (EVMS), quality assurance (QA), material management, government property, accounting and estimating, and purchasing. Accountability will include setting and monitoring an annual compliance agenda for these business systems as well as leading compliance investigations, with the support of the relevant compliance manager. Additionally, this position will provide support to various departments when required to ensure program performance data is collected, analyzed, acted upon, and accurately reported. Provide day-to-day leadership in implementing and maintaining the company's business systems in a compliant manner. Lead in the development and revision (as needed) of internal policies and procedures related to business system compliance, internal corrective action requests (CARs), and other metric tracking/reporting. Oversee the implementation of company training initiatives related to business systems compliance. Serve as an interface to the company's senior leadership team (SLT) on matters involving business systems compliance. Effectively manage and lead a compliance team that monitors each of the following areas: earned value management system (EVMS), quality assurance (QA), material management, government property, accounting and estimating, and purchasing. Ensure that the compliance team's direct reports are properly trained and certified to the appropriate level in their individual areas. Primary -point-of-contact with customer organizations and government agencies for all matters concerning business systems compliance. Coordinate and lead support for customer or government conducted surveillance. Lead company efforts in compliance investigations, with the support from the relevant compliance manager and resolve discrepancies identified create process and procedure for the development of program data collection and summarization structures needed to satisfy internal and customer reporting requirements. Implement and execute a continuous learning environment to ensure all levels of management and program personnel are trained in the government requirements for business system compliance. Ensure cost and schedule integration between all tools used in the business system compliance. Create process and procedure for variance analysis and corrective actions, development of cost improvement plans, and risk and opportunity identification, analysis, response planning, and reassessment. Create metrics specific to required outputs and reporting perform impact analysis on legacy or source systems to identify data models, use cases, and reports, define and execute integration and migration approach. Manage the systems and reporting setup, enablement, integration, and continuous improvement. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies, procedures, and applicable laws demonstrate leadership skills that align with the mission, vision, and values of the company must abide by and enforce all organizational policies and procedures.

Education And Experience
Bachelor's Degree in a Business, Finance, or Technical discipline and a minimum of ten years experience in business systems compliance or equivalent and a minimum of fifteen years experience in business systems compliance experience in a manufacturing project-based business is required.
Knowledge of Government Cost Accounting is desired
PMP and/or EVMS certification is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications along with a thorough understanding of financial/cost analysis techniques is required
Excellent written and oral communication skills are needed
Managerial/supervisory experience is required
Knowledge and experience in the use of financial systems required (Baan, SAP, Hyperion, etc).
Ship construction experience desired
