The Town of Grand Chute is accepting qualified applications for a full-time Mechanic. This position performs skilled mechanical work in the maintenance and repair of Town vehicles and various associated equipment, under the supervision of the Shop Foreman.
Requirements include: Vocational/technical degree from an accredited program in gasoline and/or diesel mechanics; three (3) years’ experience repairing and maintaining a variety of vehicles and motorized equipment; valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with Tanker (N) endorsement and no air brake restriction. The Town may consider any equivalent amount of credentials, licensures, training, or experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties and responsibilities of this job.
The wage range is 23.52 to 30.24 per hour. Generous fringe benefits include: employer contribution of 6.5% into Wisconsin Retirement System, State of WI Health Insurance; Vision Insurance; 100% employer paid Dental Insurance, Life Insurance, and Disability Insurance Premiums; 80 hours of paid holidays per year; 8 hours of sick leave per month (accumulation to 960 hours) and sick leave incentive; vacation leave; and day time hours.
