Job Description

This position supports the work of the Marketing/Communications department on behalf of the Y to advance the mission and impact of the Y movement. Under the direction of the V.P. and Chief of Marketing & Comm Officer, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for marketing department project management and advertising efforts that drive awareness and acquisition for the Greater Green Bay YMCA Association including programming, membership and events. The Marketing Manager must have a proven ability to be an innovative, creative, proactive and self-directed team member in a fast-paced environment with the ability to meet deadlines.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising, journalism, public relations or related field of study is required.
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Time management skills must be strong in order to meet timelines.
  • Extremely detail-oriented with excellent organization and project management; ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • A minimum of 5 years relevant work experience is required, to include:
    • Project management tracking systems
    • Print production and video production
    • E-marketing platforms (e.g. iContact, Daxko Engage)
    • Social media marketing and analytics
    • Website CMS and analytics
    • High competency with Microsoft Office products

  • Ability to develop and maintain consultant/agency/vendor relationships.
  • Strong advertising background, knowledge of ad traffic, ad reservation, media buying and advertising tracking.
  • Strong administrative, organizational, math, and computer skills with attention to details is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: telephone, face to face, and written communication skills tailored to the appropriate audience.
  • Flexible and creative team player with strong problem-solving and strategic-thinking skills.
  • Participation in Listen First and tour training is required within the first twelve months.
  • Other skills or experience that would be very helpful on the job include:
    • Google Grant Management, Google Adwords and Remarketing
    • Mobile App experience
    • Sharepoint (intranet) communications sites
    • Photography, video production, video editing
    • Online video creation (e.g. Animoto)
    • Mobile App, web-based electronic messaging systems
    • Website coding: HTML, Javascript, CSS
    • Basic skills in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator
    • Public relations, marketing, sales, non-profit experience
    • Bilingual in Spanish (written and verbal)

Essential Functions

  • Continually position the Greater Green Bay YMCA as a cause-driven organization throughout all advertising and PR.
  • Write and edit marketing and advertising copies.
  • Create organizational timelines and calendars for editorial content, marketing, advertisement, membership promotions, program promotions, program guides and registration sessions.
  • Manage advertising plans, traffic and tracing.
  • Create quarterly dashboards.
  • Manage email communications.
  • Act as the mobile app expert and leader.
  • Direct mail campaign management and mailing list management.
  • Track advertisements and budgets.
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships and bid management for services and merchandise.

Salary

$45,000.00 - $50,000.00
