A Cheese Manufacturing Plant in Green County, WI is looking for a Full-Time Maintenance Technician.Â
Starting Pay: $17.00+
Shift: Monday - Friday 10a - 6p with rotating Saturdays.Â
Summary:
Responsible for the repairs and maintenance of all facilities & equipment. Performs a wide variety of maintenance duties. Assist and support Packaging Machine operator in packaging high quality products and operating the Packaging Room in a safe, efficient manner.
EssentialÂDuties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the repairs of all plant equipment & building facilities
Responsible for the prompt and effective response and resolution to work orders (checklist & reports)
Conducts regularly and visual inspection (reports) of facility/plant equipment in order to determine repairs and communicates potential equipment failure and/or issues.
Responds to all maintenance related work orders
Maintain sanitation equipment within Plant and support Plant Master Sanitation
When necessary, act as a backup for Packing Machine Operator and perform/assume packing machine operator duties and responsibilities.
Skills Required:
Ability to read charts and machine settings.
Ability to troubleshoot, operate and make repairs on plant equipment.
Ability to upkeep and operate facility equipment
Good verbal communication skills
Good problem solving and decision making skills
Basic computer skills
Safety conscience Self directed and able to work independently
Necessary Experience:
Previous mechanical repair experience.
Knowledge of packaging equipment and procedures.
High School Diploma or Equivalent
3-5 years of maintenance experience (preferred)
Facility Maintenance experience (preferred)
Must be familiar with a wide range of skilled crafts including, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
Knowledgeable and/or experienced with preventative maintenance & safety procedures/programs
