The City of La Crosse is seeking to hire a full-time Chronic Nuisance Technician to perform a variety of code enforcement support functions related to nuisance housing, health and safety, blight, graffiti, garbage and refuse. The work is performed under the supervision of the Chief Inspector. Successful candidate shall have H.S. diploma or equivalent with two years experience in the construction trade, building or safety code enforcement or; an Associates degree in a construction trade or related field. Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with the public in a professional manner. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Valid drivers license required. Starting wage is $16.61 - $18.02 per hour, depending on qualifications (75 hours bi-weekly).
Selected candidate is subject to a background check and post-offer/pre-employment drug screen.
