Looking for someone that can help on a beef farm.
Duties will include:
1) General livestock care.
2) All aspect of artificial insemination process (AI)experience is beneficial but not required. Determining when cattle are ready to be AI'ed,
3) feeding livestock.
4) Determine if cattle are sick and treat cattle for common illnesses experience is beneficial but not required. Such as: pick eye, foot rot, etc This experience is beneficial but not required.
5) Determine when a cow is due to birth and assisting in the birth if needed. This experience is beneficial but not required
6) Tasks that are need to be completed for pure breed cattle registration. Such as: Tattooing/Tagging, weighting, record keeping, etc. This experience is beneficial but not required.
7) Working/Herding cattle around and in a cattle chute and pens. The tasks associated with this are: AI, weighting cattle, annual shots/pouring, preg-checking, seamen checking bulls, etc. This experience is beneficial but not required.
8) Running skid steer, tractors, and equipment etc.
9) welding and basic maintenance and repair is beneficial but not required.
10) Handyman experience is beneficial but not required. Such as: carpentry, electrical, plumbing. This experience is beneficial but not required.
Must be dependable, willing to learn, and like animals.
Must be able to work around large animal and not afraid of large animals.
Great job for high school student or a extra job
Experience is helpful but willing to train the right person.
Job interview and back ground check prior to employment.
