Looking for motivated staff that want to work. We are a youth group home for at risk youth and we are filling positions on all three shifts.
1st Shift: 7:30am-3pm
2nd Shift: 3pm-11:30pm
3rd Shift: 11:30pm-7:30am
We offer competitive wages and will train. Position will average about 30hrs a week and looking to hire immediately.
Responsibilities:
-Monitoring the behavior and activities of each youth
-Serves as a positive role model
-Provides youth with training or assistance with basic daily living skills such as: washing, cooking, shaving, grooming etc.;
-Encourage and train youth in daily self-care practices
-Reinforce positive behaviors and to promote social interaction
-Serve, prep, and eat meals with youth
-document, report, and review youths’ daily progress
-Ensures compliance with standards and security safeguards such as: room checks; removal of dangerous items and properly locked and secured specified cabinets.
-Review shift turnover reports
Requirements:
High School Graduate or equivalent. Must be 21 years of age. Previous experience caring for children in need of protection preferred (CHIPS). Must be able to obtain certification in certain areas of training within 6 months of hire, i.e., CPR, CPI, First Aid. Ability to recognize inappropriate or manipulative behavior in difficult or challenging situations. Ability to calmly and repetitively model appropriate behavior in difficult or challenging situations. Ability to react to situations, i.e., rescue, preventing youth from hurting themselves or others. Valid Driver’s license with clean driving record preferred.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, walk, use hands, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear, taste or smell. Exposure to outside weather conditions while working with residents. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud.
