Olsten Staffing Services is partnering with one of the longest standing family owned companies in La Crosse, WI to fill Maintenance Technician positions on 2nd and 3rd shift. As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance of industrial equipment. These are long-term permanent positions. Responsibilities for the Maintenance Technician Position Include:
Understand and be responsible for preventative maintenance and repair on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic machinery and equipment
Understand and operate test equipment and electrical controls
Interpret schematics, instructional diagrams, logic ladder diagrams
Weld and fabricate
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required
Certification or coursework in industrial maintenance preferred
2-5 years in similar role; experience in foundry preferred
Proven math skills
Understanding of Written and Verbal Language
Thoroughness
Time Management
Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving
Mechanical and Technical Aptitude
Knowledge of PLCs
Physical Stamina and Dexterity
Ability to Concentrate for Extended Periods
Ability to work safely and understand OSHA standards
Stand and/or walk 6-8.5 plus hours per day
Lift and/or carry up to 70 pounds frequently
Use hands repeatedly to grasp, handle, lift, push, and pull
Bend, squat, and climb repeatedly
Positions available on 2nd and 3rd Shift
