Alliant Energy is seeking an IT Product & Service Owner (Manager) to add to our team and partner with our IT and Finance & Supply Chain departments within our organization. You will work closely with our internal IT customers to understand their data and technology needs, then capturing and prioritizing associated work for the team. This position will require taking proactive action on undefined problems and involve facilitation of both business and technical resources through technology roadmap development. Superb communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work in both a team environment and on self-directed tasks are vital.
Job-specific responsibilities include:
Oversight of applications resources including maintenance/management of current Finance & Supply Chain systems (including the current ERP system), the development of new enhancements in applications, and new application selection/implementation.
Be the primary IT partner for the Finance and Supply Chain organizations
Partner with internal customers to develop the roadmap for Finance and Supply Chain applications
Work with team to define upskilling opportunities to best support the internal customers
Ownership and understanding of IT specific SOX controls
This position currently offers a blend of working from home and in the Madison, WI or Cedar Rapids, IA office on average one day per week. The individual must reside in either Iowa or Wisconsin.

Shapes and owns the product road map and vision and communicates the story to key partners and the rest of the team.
Accountable for Product Backlog by continuously refining it to ensure all customer requirements are clearly described, estimated, and prioritized. Approves each completed customer requirement and provides valuable feedback for the team.
Identifies minimum viable products to deliver business value
Acts as a voice of the customer for their team – frequently meeting with partners and customers to understand their need.
Increases Return on Investment by identifying and prioritizing the product features by business value
Understands how to use technology to solve customer problems or create new value frontiers
Drives sprint and release plans together with Scrum Master.
Participates in Scrum events, including sprint planning, story grooming sessions, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
Responsible for great customer experience in all product releases.
Conducts product planning sessions to breakdown initiatives into clear user stories that are derived from customer needs and understood by the team.
Manages the lifecycle of product or service including maintenance, patching, and new version introductions.
Leads and takes part in Technology planning processes to align priorities across IT Services
Focuses on outcomes / Objectives and Key Results (OKR’s) to deliver cost effective, customer driven technology solutions.
Develops long-term strategic relationships with customer and industry leaders.
Responsible to business leaders for development of solutions, scope development, prioritization, and delivery of systems and functions. Jointly develops plans and solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner and is responsible for ensuring the most effective use of product group resources.
Provides leadership and direction for the communication and implementation of new practices to increase organizational performance and success within Information Technology.
Provides direction to teams and ensures solutions and development options meet customer needs, are appropriately prioritized, and are delivered in a prompt and cost-effective manner.
Works with Sourcing department to lead vendor relationships and agreements. Ensures quality services are provided in a cost-effective manner and agreed-upon service levels and contract terms are met.
Performs all management duties including, but not limited to, budgeting, hiring, performance reviews, coordinating and scheduling work, salary recommendations, ensure employees report to work fit for duty, leadership, grievance resolution, coaching & counseling, models Alliant Energy’s Core Values at all times.
Job Qualifications :Required Qualifications
8+ years of professional experience to include;
5+ years of experience in Agile methodology and ERP (Finance and Supply Chain systems)
3+ years of supervisory experience or equivalent. (Equivalent supervisory experiences may include project management, providing work direction, leadership experience through temporary assignments, roles in the community or external organizations, or other demonstrated leadership experience).
Experience in managing and implementing solutions to diverse and complex business problems that enable business strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
Master’s Degree.

Demonstrated effective leadership skills, with the ability to manage projects and employees at multiple locations.
