Summary:
Coordinates front office activities of hotel and resolves problem arising from guests’ complaints, reservation and room assignment activities, and inquiries by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors and managers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for the training, development and supervision of the Front Office team including the Assistant Front Office Manager, Bell Services team, Governor's Club team, and Front Desk team.
Confers and cooperates with other managers and Director of Rooms Division to ensure coordination of activities.
Perform essential duties of subordinates.
Assists Bell, Front Desk, or Governor’s Club staff during heavy traffic times.
Resolves guest complaints.
Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and services
Maintain Front Office files.
Works with the Director of Operations to create and implement the Front Office budget.
Ensures that all areas are adhering to the Front Office budget.
Promotes the Vision of the hotel to Front Office team members and guests.
Ensure open-line communication.
Perform shift duties at Front Desk, Governor’s Club and Bell stand in order to increase the exposure with service team members and guests.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages one subordinate manager and/or supervisors who supervise front line staff of the Front Office including PBX, Front Desk, Bell Staff, and Governor’s Club Staff. This position also directly oversees front line staff members.
Is responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies & applicable laws. Responsibilities include hiring, training employees: planning, assigning directing work; appraising performance; rewarding & disciplining employees; addressing complaints & solving problems.
Job Requirements: College degree preferred. 3 years minimum progressive experience in Front Office supervisory/management position. Must be available weekends, holidays, and be flexible to work AM/PM shifts according to business demands. Proficiency in HIS, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook as well as internet.
Salary: $60-$65K/year depending on experience
