AE Business Solutions is seeking an enthusiastic

Network Engineer who wants to work in a dynamic, always evolving environment for a

contract-to-hire opportunity with a client in Madison, WI. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Cisco networking technologies and eager to learn and grow within the field.

Local candidates preferred, or willing to relocate at candidates own expense

What you bring to the table:

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) -OR- 4+ years professional work experience.
• 6+ years systems administration experience.
• TCP/IP technologies including (but not limited to) routing and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, etc.), switching, subnetting, multicast, tunneling, bridging, MPLS, IP quality of service, traffic engineering, firewalls, load balancers, VoIP and IPTV.
• Power Concepts associated with AC and DC power equipment and HVAC implementations in both cabinet and building applications.
• Customer premises equipment including (but not limited to) Routers, PBX, Handsets, set-top boxes, home wiring concepts
• Experience in virtualization platforms (VMWare and Hyper-V)
• Experience with IT infrastructure (SSL, DNS, LDAP, DHCP, SFTP, RHEL, CentOS)
• Knowledge of cabling and wiring systems, design, and installation.
• Ability to operate tools, components, peripherals, and testing accessories.
• Knowledge of systems development methodologies, practices, and tools.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies, practices, and tools.
• Knowledge of system testing practices and tools.
• Knowledge of problem-solving techniques and tools
