Robert Half Technology has a Desktop Support Technician role with a company in the Healthcare/NHS industry that may be the position for you, if that sounds like you. Located about 20 minutes east of downtown Madison, Wisconsin, area, this Desktop Support Analyst role is long-term temporary in nature.
Key responsibilities
- Provide computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Maintain, analyze, and fix computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals
- Organize hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors
- Settle computer problems, and offer suggestions on appropriate action/solutions
- Provide support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems
- Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities
- Be in contact regularly and effectively with ticket submitters
Requirements
- Experience writing procedure manuals, user instructions, business correspondence, and general report writing
- 3+ years of desktop support or other related experience
- PC desktop/workstations experience required
- Desktop Imaging experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
- Strong familiarity with Computer Hardware
- Active Directory experience preferred
