Compensation Minimum:$88,400

Compensation Maximum:$141,600

Summary:

This is an exciting new position that will work across multiple teams in people services to bring forth prescriptive, predictive, and statistical analytics. Using data from Human Resources, Talent Development and Corporate Training (core system including: Workday, Saba, EdCast, etc.) you will join data either locally or in the cloud, use your intellectual curiosity to find interesting insights. You will apply insights to current business challenges, present recommendations based on contextual knowledge, and highlight areas to focus on to remain competitive. Top candidates will have strong data skills, curiosity, problem solving skills, and presentation skills to executive leadership.

Provides analytics services to the business. Develops new insights and understands the business performance based on data and statistical methods. Analyzes business results, external market dynamics and other data sources to assess trends and develop actionable insights and recommendations to management, via understanding of the business model and the information available for analysis. Typically uses data, statistical and quantitative analysis, explanatory and predictive modeling, and fact-based management to drive decision making.

Primary Accountabilities
  • Leads business partners in the development and delivery of key performance analysis and reporting.
  • Leads development of use case valuations translating strategic objectives and plans into tangible business cases and cost/benefit analyses.
  • Builds and maintains various complex models used to project business results; enhances the model where there is business value in adjusting the models.
  • Ensures analysis and reporting accuracy and integrity and explains performance drivers and provides insights into performance trends.
  • Communicates findings to various stakeholders and leadership with recommendations for actions to address business changes, trends, and issues.
  • Consults with the business to develop proactive methods for evaluating performance.
  • Develop and defines standard analytics and reporting governance and communication and ensures adherence to standards.
  • Provides business analysis, tool, and technique expertise.


Travel Requirements
  • This position requires travel up to 10% of the time.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of forecasting techniques or statistical analysis or data modeling or data mining
  • Strong experience utilizing software tools to query and report data
  • Strong experience with a variety of standard reporting software packages and best practices for report deployment processes
  • Demonstrated experience communicating/presenting complex and independent concepts and unbiased fact-based decision-making, financial performance and statistical model results
  • Demonstrated experience consulting and working with leadership on complex datasets


Additional Job Information:

Top candidates will have demonstrated experience with such tools and technologies as:

Python, R, SQL, and/or Spyder

AWS, GCP or other Cloud data platforms

Tableau, Google Data Studio, Looker

GitLab

Experience connecting to data APIs and leveraging for data visualizations

Candidates with a Master's degree or higher preferred.

We are open to hiring candidates to work remotely (anywhere in the USA). However, we are also open to candidates who will relocate to our headquarters location of Madison, WI and then relocation assistance may be available.
