Description We are looking for a Database Developer to join our team in Wisconsin. As a Database Developer, you will be responsible for the integration, report development, and custom label coding in the context of an application modernization and ERP implementation. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities:
Crystal reports report writing and clean-up
Develop, implement, and optimize stored procedures and functions using SQL
Build appropriate and useful reporting deliverables
Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements
Develop procedures and scripts for data migration
Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures, and triggers to support application development
Participate in application modernization and ERP implementation projects
Collaborate with team members to determine best practices and client requirements for software
Develop technical specifications and schedules for projects
Learn and develop skills in information technology to include varied programming languages
Ensure all database programs meet company and performance requirements
Research and suggest new database products, services, and protocols.
Requirements
Applicants must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Database Developer or in a related role. Proficiency in SQL Developer is required. Experience with Crystal Reports is essential and the most critical. Candidates must have strong report writing skills. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with database design, documentation, and coding is required. Applicants should have a strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC). Experience in working with large data sets and databases is required. Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously are necessary. Candidates should have excellent communication and teamwork skills. The ability to work independently and manage one's time effectively is essential. Knowledge of the latest industry trends and technologies in database development is preferred.
