Description
Desktop Support Technician candidates will be interested in Robert Half's new job opening, if they have a flair for clearly breaking down and explaining convoluted technical information in a way that is easily understood by non-technical users. This is a position you will thrive in, if you are a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for working in an innovative environment. This Desktop Support Analyst role is long-term contract / temporary in nature and is based in the Madison, WI area. There will be travel required to report from site to site locations and mileage is reimbursed! Apply today!
Your responsibilities in this role
- Interact regularly and effectively with ticket submitters
- Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities
- Give support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems
- Rectify computer problems, and suggest appropriate action/solutions
- Retain, investigate, and restore computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals
- Arrange hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors
- Supply computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures
Requirements
- Foundational knowledge in communication
- Expertise in Desktop Hardware
- Proven knowledge of Cisco Access Points
- Microsoft Office 365 experience
- Experience with Active Directory
- Proficiency in Password Changes
- Ability to quickly write reports, business correspondence, user instructions, and procedure manuals
- 2+ years of desktop support or other related experience
