The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.Salary Range$99,200.00 - $163,700.00Target Openings1What Is the Opportunity?The Technology and Operations Finance organization has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Supplier Governance, Risk and Financial Management. The incumbent will be responsible for delivering enterprise level insights in support of the Technology and Operations sourcing strategy that will connect, add value and assist strategic management of the processes and best practices pertaining to the use of external entities, as well as the reduction of overall supply chain risks and costs without compromising quality or reliability of Traveler's supply chain. The incumbent will define and consult on measurement strategies, tools, scorecards and surveys across Technology and Operations, ensuring relevant projects are completed within committed time and budget and are integrated with other business and related projects. This job does not manage others.Primary Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssist in the redesign and ongoing execution of the supplier governance program ensuring the framework continues to address emerging risks.

Assess supplier financial performance management, including SLA penalties, risk sharing, Innovation Fund and incentives.

Support the constructive handling or resolution of conflict both internally and externally with our external entities .

Enhance tools and processes to effectively collect analyze and report performance information.

Evaluate supplier due diligence processes and ongoing monitoring to propose mitigation plans to reduce supplier risks.

Analyze pricing models to support sourcing strategy, including role/rate analysis and benchmarking.

Identify and monitor financial risks and opportunities in support of sourcing and vendor spend driving financial outcomes.

Mature sourcing and service deal analysis. Understand economics for sourcing initiatives, including multi-year financial impact.

Partner with key stakeholders to manage sourcing contracting and pipeline activity.

Support monthly Enterprise Contract Review encompassing sourcing activity, including enhanced TCO/CBA analysis.

Participate in review of sourcing contracts to ensure performance metrics and financial terms are operational.

Provide overall direction to junior managers relative to the Supplier Risk and Governance best practice.

Development and support of presentations to C-Level management to sell Sourcing and Supplier Management initiatives, standards and best practices.

Develop and disseminate consistent, standardized materials for use with Travelers associates, business units, and suppliers. Work with other corporate organizations to ensure complete alignment.

Develop communication and feedback structure to share results within Technology and Operations.

Support the proactive management and understanding of industry best practices and technology trends, support benchmarking efforts and provide insight to executive management .

Foster a "partnering" culture with members of Travelers supply chain to ensure value is derived equitably to drive innovation and productivity.

Ensures projects are completed within committed time and budget and are integrated with other business and related projects.

Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.

Minimum 7 years of supplier management or related experience required.

Advanced communication skills, advanced computer literacy and ability to analyze and resolve complex issues required.

Ability to successfully operate in a team and in a fast-paced environment required.

Requires a demonstrated record of initiative, problem solving, and change management.

Education, Work Experience, & KnowledgeTypically 8-10 years of Finance, Audit, Procurement or Sales/Servicing related experience.

Master's or other advanced degree preferred.

Experience managing risk and governance practices preferred.

Knowledge of financial analysis, accounting, modeling, and reporting strongly preferred.

Thorough knowledge of project management processes.

Thorough knowledge of business law, legal contracts and various financial issues.

Job Specific Technical Skills & CompetenciesIntermediate to advanced proficiency of eSourcing and Ariba procurement applications preferred.

Intermediate to advanced proficiency of MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word preferred.
