RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Manager - IT Development in Madison, WI.


Responsibilities of the Manager - IT Development:
Personnel and Team Development:
Manager builds high-performance teams
Establishes mission and purpose for individuals and teams
Performs career counseling and personal development
Eliminates impediments and evolve systems and practices in support of Lean-Agile development
Manager serves as Agile coach and advisor to Agile Teams

Program Delivery:
Manager assists the Release Train Engineer with PI Planning readiness and Pre and Post PI Planning activities
Participates in Program Increment (PI) Planning, System Demo, and Solution Demo
Manager of IT Development protects teams from distractions and unrelated or unnecessary work

Alignment:
As a Manager, you will work with Release Train Engineer, System Architects, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective execution of strategic themes
Works with System Architects, Agile Business Partners, and Product Owners to establish clear content authority
Helps ensure the engagement of Business Owners, Shared Services, and other stakeholders

Transparency:
Communicates openly and honestly with all stakeholders
Keeps backlogs and information radiators fully visible to all
Values productivity, quality, transparency, and openness over internal politics

Built-in Quality:
Understands, teaches, or sponsors technical skills development in support of high-quality code, components, systems and solutions
Fosters Communities of Practice (CoPs)
Understands, supports, and applies agile architecture

Leadership Oversight:
Manager assigns IT Service Management work queues and related team member assignments
Reviews and approves production changes. Ensures timely and accurate completion of administrative tasks by team members (e.g. time tracking)
Serves as a key member/contributor on the IT Standards Committee

REQUIREMENTS:
3-5 years' leadership experience within IT
Ideally leadership experience with organizations utilizing Informatica, .NET, TIBCO, Python, or Java
