Job Summary

The Security Administrator is responsible for providing and controlling security access to Active Directory (AD), SAP and third party applications managed by Information Technology. This position supports organization's global divisions.



Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Technical (60%)


  • Creates AD users and groups in multiple domains and assigns approved resource a network access

  • Creates and administers Exchange mailboxes, distribution lists and resources

  • User maintenance in various systems, including SAP, managed by Information Technology




Investigation and Reporting (20%)


  • Maintain and accept ownership of assigned security incident, communicating and documenting all activities performed in resolving incidents




Analytical (10%)


  • Ensures SAP and AD accounts are disabled and cleaned up according to policy

  • Ensures auditing requirements are met for all security access




Other/General (10%)


  • Updates documentation as changes are made to groups and roles in AD and SAP

  • Support operational and project user identity functions

  • Assist with operationalizing access provisioning & removal for new applications/systems




Education and Experience Profile


  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of total Information Technology experience

  • Previous Active Directory experience desired




Required Skills


  • Knowledge of AD concepts and permissions

  • Ability to complete business security specifications that meet and/or exceed user expectations

  • Demonstrated ability to work with both technical and business partners to resolve security issues

  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and priorities through leadership guidance

  • Continuously works on improving own knowledge, skills and attitude

  • Must maintain high level of confidentiality and professionalism

  • Highly motivated individual with a strong sense of ownership of their work/projects
