The Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES) Senior Industry Consultant provides strategic support to SAS US Government Sales in achieving revenue targets and to Solution implementation by providing health care industry domain, change management consulting and public policy expertise; developing a health care domain viewpoint on SAS offerings and alignment to State Medicaid program’s strategic goals; and translating how SAS Solutions helps a customer accomplish desired policy and business outcomes, including long-term program effectiveness.The successful candidate will have advanced skills and high-level experience in building consulting services, outcomes, analytics, and/or information technology, and can communicate well to Medicaid agencies to assist in their efforts to solve complex big data analytics problems with MES modernization. This candidate will be easy to work with and has a passion for the job by providing strategic guidance, advisement and directives to internal and external stakeholders, recognizing the importance of overseeing contract management activities. Primary Responsibilities

Responsible as leader for all contract management deliverables, with an emphasis on SAS’ continued alignment with the Medicaid agency’s strategic direction.

Responsible for the success of analytics initiatives, programs or functions of assigned clients through continuous customer engagement.

Provides direct industry/business domain sales support for Medicaid MES projects.

Establish relationships with customers including strategic high-level influencer's, policymakers, decision-makers, operational management, and end users that establishes SAS as a credible and trusted advisor on providing solutions for current and future needs.

Provide business process improvement observations and change management consultation to facilitate organization adoption and engagement with analytic solutions.

Provide regular and recurring on-site engagement to all levels of the customer base as needed.

Assist delivery team and customer in tactical and strategic issue resolution, seeking to resolve issues at the team level while escalating critical issues in a timely manner to ensure collaboration of resources to resolve issues.

Facilitate the delivery of solution value to the customer, facilitating customer preparedness, training, deployment and value/ROI measurement.

Identify, maintain and provide support and strategic guidance to the SAS sales organization leadership to develop new account penetration strategies

Identifies internal client trends and emerging health care policy and IT issues or initiatives and helps the client and SAS properly align around those that represent a business opportunity for SAS. Supports the alignment of client needs and SAS capabilities for expanded client solution engagement.

Prepares and delivers presentations to clients at the highest levels of management and decision-making.

Performs other duties, as assigned.

Essential Requirements

Bachelors’ Degree, preferably in Public Administration, Business, Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, Analytics, or related discipline. Masters, Graduate or Doctorate degrees are considerable plus.

8 (or more) years of experience working in health care, specifically Medicaid policy, with hands-on advanced analytics experience and experience facilitating large government programs with multi-agency coordination.

Experience presenting to government leaders and/or elected officials.

Additional Requirements

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to understand and translate complex technical and business information to internal/external audiences with varying depths of knowledge regarding technology and public policy.

Ability to relate current industry issues and trends to SAS offerings.

Experience in Medicaid policies and procedures and working within a State Health Agency is a plus
