A+ Lawn Care is a family-owned business in DeForest with consistent growth each year! We service the Madison/DeForest/Sun Prairie surrounding area and pride ourselves on our service. We are currently hiring for a full time lawn maintenance mowing technician with a signing bonus Position would ideally be full time through winter and year round also doing snow removal. Hiring asap.
Experience and skilled with professionally mowing commercial and residential lawns of routed properties. Duties include: mowing with a zero turn or ride on mower, running a string trimmer and backpack blower and using other lawn related equipment.
Other responsibilities include but not limited to: preparing and loading equipment each day, unloading and cleaning equipment, also cleaning out debris from trucks and other tasks as assigned. Also including seasonal property cleanups (pruning, weeding, leaf raking and removal, etc) and rock/mulch install. Snow removal in winter, driving a plow truck with salter or operating a skid steer or wheel loader and helping clean equipment after snow events.
Wages based on experience, $18-$24 per hour based on amount of experience, type of experience and how recent the experience is, plus potential for over time and bonuses. Increase in pay for snow season based on snow experience. Health insurance available.
Requirements:
-Dependable - able to show up on time - IF YOU CANNOT SHOW UP CONSISTENTLY OR ON TIME, DO NOT APPLY.
-Must have reliable transportation to and from our shop site
-Must have valid WI drivers license
-Experience with commercial and residential mowing and mowing various patterns/striping
-Experience operating basic equipment including a zero turn mower, ride-on mower, brush cutter mower, drive with and back up a trailer, etc and if working through snow season experience operating a plow truck, skid steer or wheel loader and availability 24/7 "on-call" for snow season
-Must have smart phone to be able to communicate
-Able to work in a fast-paced environment
-Able to follow direction and be self-motivated
-Able to lift 50 plus pounds
-Able to work long hours during winter snow events
