The University of Wisconsin Extended Campus is current seeking a Market Research Analyst. The Market Research Analyst will be responsible for developing and analyzing qualitative and quantitative research projects using third party data tools to meet the Marketing department objectives and inform marketing strategy planning. This position is responsible for designing and delivering ongoing analytics to provide marketing with decision-making support and maximize return on marketing investment (ROMI).
The ideal candidate must possess a keen knowledge of and experience using statistical concepts. This role requires strategic and tactical thinking to translate ongoing marketing program research data into meaningful recommendations. Hybrid or remote options may be available to Wisconsin residents only.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop qualitative and quantitative research projects to meet specific UWEX objectives including analyzing market opportunities to support program growth and development
  • Use third party tools to develop competitive and industry analyses (forecast trends, opportunities, best practices, etc.) to boost the business intelligence of the marketing team, evaluate marketing performance and provide recommendations for enhancement
  • Monitor news/publications/industry trends/competitive landscape for market insights
  • Design and develop marketing analytics for digital, media and marketing automation as well as direct marketing tactics to enhance decision-making and maximize return on marketing investment (ROMI)
  • Monitor lead status and movement to ensure proper lead flow and attribution
  • Assist with measuring marketing ROI, benchmarking & KPI reporting
  • Present analysis findings, provide interpretation, reports, and insights to end users, and strategize on further research needs
  • Simplify complex data into user-friendly formats (graphs, charts, and other visual aids)
  • Devise and evaluate methods for data collection
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Marketing Director
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, market research, marketing, or related field
  • Minimum of three years’ professional experience in marketing, data gathering, data reporting and analytics (excluding internship experience)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to match message delivery to audience needs
  • Quantitative and qualitative analysis skills and experience
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools, Tableau preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Higher education experience
  • Experience with a Customer Relations Management (CRM), Salesforce preferred
  • Experience using Marketing Cloud, Pardot, or similar marketing automation tools
  • Experience with primary and secondary research

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret results, analyze campaign effectiveness and adapt campaigns to achieve goals
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas to a variety of stakeholders

  • Ability to maintain attention to detail while keeping the broader context in mind
