JOB SUMMARY:
Provide day-to-day administration and technical support for IT security systems, provide technical security solutions related to firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention, log analysis, encryption, VPN, authentication, web filtering, access control systems, and their associated logs and processes and participate in the analysis, recommendations, testing, and implementation of IT security systems and processes.

Provides first level technical support for security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, jump hosts, authentication, VPN, proxy, and remote access systems.
Participates in low to medium complexity company, department level, and team level projects impacting security. Stays informed of progress on company, department, and team level projects impacting security.
Responsible for basic phases of security systems administration including policy management, installation, maintenance, testing, debugging and documentation.
Assists in the execution of processes and procedures in support of the execution of network segmentation standards and controls for cybersecurity system protection. Executes work processes which comply with security policies. Prepares and maintains operational documentation. Establishes procedures for the Help Desk to resolve minor security issues and problems.
Identifies, plans, implements, documents, and complies with procedures for complying with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and North American Electric Reliability Corporation Critical Infrastructure Protection (NERC CIP) regulations.
Participates in 24x7 on call rotation.
Voices customer requirements into tasks and stories using Agile tools. Communicates with peers such that user tasks and stories are clearly understood by all stakeholders. Supervision
Performs work under the supervision of a Manager.

Experience with at least one of the following preferred: internet security, encryption, identity management, firewalls, jump hosts or authentication systems (token or biometrics). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proven knowledge of mainframe, database, network, server, and remote connectivity security.
Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs (e.g., e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and project management).
Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a diverse work environment.
