Description
There's currently a long-term contract / temporary to hire opening for a talented and professional Software Developer in the Madison, Wisconsin area. This position requires the chosen candidate to be responsible for implementing new features, maintaining existing code, and refactoring existing code across a breadth of products used both internally and externally at the company. You'll need a growth mindset and the ability to work independently and with a team. This role is with a company in the Manufacturing industry.
This is a contract to full-time role that is 2-3 days onsite, hybrid.
Responsibilities
- Provide clear and consistent communication around solutions and time estimate to client-facing program management teams
- Resolve and obtain production support
- This job is for someone who can maintain and develop new features to internal and external facing software to enhance the customer experience and resolve issues on various operating systems
- Assist with Scrum team to display right work estimates
- Continually conduct code-review and unite with other developers
Requirements
- Less than one year of experience
- Experience crafting, documenting and testing APIs
- If you have knowledge of education standards such as QTI/APIP, SIF, AIF, you will be strongly preferred
- We are particularly looking for candidates with experience with software development life cycles, e.g. Agile, Big Bang, Spiral, Waterfall, etc.
- Proven knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience with Azure SQL Database
- API Development experience required
- Well-founded grasp of JSON
- Comprehensive knowledge of .NET
- Microsoft Azure experience
- Google Cloud Platform experience preferred
- Familiarity with scrum is required for success at this position
- Experience with at least one framework/library, e.g. Vue.js, Polymer, Angular.js, React.js, Ractive.js, Knockout.js, Ember.js, Bootstrap, etc., are strongly preferred.
- You might be a good fit for this position if you can write clean, standardized code that performs optimally in highly concurrent environments
- We are particularly looking for candidates with familiarity with full-stack development (front-end, to middle/application tier, to database)
