Truepoint Directional Drilling Inc., is seeking a dedicated and experienced Horizontal Directional Drilling professional to TRAIN EMPLOYEES AND ASSIST in day-to-day operations. This is temporary position with the opportunity to advance to full-time if desired. Most of the work will be in the Chicago suburbs area. Potential candidate will bring hands-on expertise with at lest 5 years of proven experience in directional drilling, strong leadership capabilities, and a commitment to safety and quality in utility construction projects. Candidate must have experience as both a Drill locator and Drill operator or a good understanding both roles. We are a small and fast-growing company with room for growth (if desired). This position may require some travel to various locations outside of the Chicago area. Experience is a MUST and will be verified. Must speak English. Spanish is preferred but not required. Pay starts at $350-$375 per day. Pay is negotiable depending on experience.
Responsibilities
Assist in project management along with project scheduling and oversee the execution of construction plans.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations an help maintain a safe working environment.
Conduct quality control inspections to ensure adherence to project specifications and standards.
Read blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents to guide project execution.
Provide training and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Submit detailed daily reports and photos.
Skills
Be able to use iPad/laptops.
Extensive experience in Horizontal Directional Drilling and construction site operations with a focus on quality control and safety compliance.
Excellent blueprint reading skills along with the ability to interpret schematics accurately.
Proven supervisory experience with strong leadership capabilities.
Familiarity with pipeline construction processes is a plus.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
