Independent seed company is seeking candidates for full-time mechanic / shop foreman position in Sun Prairie.
Job responsibilities include troubleshooting, repair, and general maintenance of a wide variety of agricultural related equipment. Primary made up of tractors, trucks, planters, detasselers, corn pickers, irrigators, and a variety of seed handling and processing equipment.
Knowledge and familiarity with the following systems is essential:
- Hydraulics
- AC and DC electrical
- Diesel and gasoline engines
- Power transmission
Required items of applicants:
- Valid WI driverâs license, CDL a plus, willingness and ability to acquire CDL and Fed Med card required
- Have an insurable driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to work in physically demanding positions, work may require continuous standing, walking, and climbing up and down ladders
- Work independently, with others, and safely
- Overtime
- High School Diploma or GED
- Vocational / Technical training
