Job Summary
Operates Lowboy (primarily)
Must be able to operate and load all types of equipment
Transport both legal and oversize/overweight loads (with required hauling permit).
Performs emergency repairs to assigned company vehicle to keep vehicles operating or able to return to shop for further repairs, e.g., replaces hoses, wires, belts and batteries, lights, tightens parts, adds fuel; inspects equipment for loose parts, damaged or worn tires and other items affecting its safe operation; checks oil, water, lights and mirrors.
Observes instruments while the vehicle is in operation and makes routine corrective action if malfunction is indicated.
Keeps trip record on log; reports defects in the vehicle operated, accidents, traffic violations or damage to the vehicle.
Performs related work as required.
Qualifications
Must be 25 or older and have a good driving record
Must pass a drug screen and background check.
Must have or be able to get a DOT required medical card.
2 + years driving and/or mechanical experience.
Must have a valid CDL license.
