We have an immediate opening for a Roll-off Driver to join our WI team. As a Roll-Off Driver, you will be responsible for servicing customer accounts dispatched to you throughout the day. In this position, you will collect and haul waste or recycling materials to a disposal site or recycling plant, as directed by dispatch.
Responsibilities
Provide, replace and remove roll-off containers and compactors for customers and dump materials at a disposal site or recycling center
Operate truck in a manner compliant with company policy and all local, state, and federal laws
Communicate with dispatch to receive instructions for work orders and escalate on-site concerns
Complete work assignments in a safe and efficient manner to avoid damage and accidents whenever possible
Conduct pre and post trip inspections and complete logs
Maintain and update driver log sheets throughout the day
Communicate professionally with customers
Keep commercial vehicle clean and free of trash/debris
Other duties, as assigned
Qualifications
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must have at least a valid Class B CDL
Must have a valid DOT medical card or obtain prior to hire
Must not have any DUIs or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years
Must not have any license suspensions within the last 2 years
No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years
Must successfully complete pre-employment physical testing
Must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors
Enter and exit commercial vehicle regularly throughout the day
Physical exertion including lifting, pushing and pulling
Exposure to extreme weather conditions
Exposure to residential and commercial waste
Possible exposure to high traffic conditions while outside of the vehicle
