We are seeking a Dialysis Patient Care Technician in Medford, WI at Aspirus Medford Hospital who is a member of the patient care team and is responsible for assisting with providing patient care under the general direction of a Registered Nurse.
The Dialysis Patient Care Technician may also be assigned to work in the Aspirus Wausau Hospital (AWH) Dialysis Unit on an occasional basis, to meet the staffing needs of the system or for educational experience.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a high school diploma or equivalent, along with current CPR certification.
Be certified under a State certified program or a national commercially available certification program, within 18 months of being hired as a dialysis patient care technician.
Graduation from a dialysis technician certificate program preferred.
Completion of a nursing assistant course beneficial with one year experience preferred.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of principles of aseptic techniques.
Experience working in a hemodialysis department.
Hours : Part time Benefit package available , 48 hours per 2 weeks, Day shift into early evening hours. Will work either two (2) 12 hour shifts or three (3) 8 hour shifts and will rotate every 2-3 Saturdays and holidays.
