A top 100 Midwest engineering & consulting firm, is seeking a results-oriented Electrical & Controls Engineer - Automation focused. The company works closely with Fortune 500 companies to develop engineering-led solutions for the most complex consumer product production challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide Electrical Design and Programming for Automated Manufacturing Systems including advanced systems integration using programmable Automation, sensors and actuators including Robotics

Design of custom automation, modifications and upgrades to systems as well as installation and start up commissioning support for new production facilities, new lines as well as upgrades or enhancements of existing equipment

Respond and support project and client requests for on-going controls troubleshooting including ongoing support of production equipment (may include nights and weekends)

Required Qualifications:
BS Electrical Engineering and 4+ years of relevant Engineering/Design experience including implementation of 20 or more complex projects.

Exposure to manufacturing environments

Ability to meet anticipated travel requirements at 30%. If candidate is not local to Green Bay, WI travel expectations will increase to over 50%

Required previous experience in the following areas:
Industrial Robotic systems (FANUC, ABB, Kuka, or equivalent)
Industrial Intelligent linear actuators and end effectors
Integration of Machine Vision into Robotics and Automation Systems
Proven Understanding of Safety Standards (ISO 13849-1 & RIA 15.06) and Proficiency in conducting Risk Assessments
Proven experience implementing and understanding NFPA 70, 70E and 79 as well as UL508A
Experience implementing Safety PLC's and Safety Controllers
Rockwell Control Logix based PLC and FactoryTalk View HMI hardware & Software
Rockwell Kinetix Servo Drives and Motors
Thin Clients, Thin Manager and Distributed software and hardware implementations
Ethernet and Ethernet/IP Networking including VLans, NAT and Network throughput sizing calculations
Manufacturing Line integration and development of complete Line Functional Descriptions of Operations
Electrical system design schematics and control panel layout design
Developing construction and installation documentation

This position will be working out of their Green Bay, WI location. Other potential locations include Madison, WI; or Minneapolis, MN; with candidate's ability to travel frequently to Green Bay, WI for machine builds.
