Carpenter - Metal Building Erector - Pole Barns
Location: West Bend, WI & Surrounding Areas (within 60 miles)
Pay: $30 – $34 per hour (DOE – higher rates possible)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Duration: 6 months, with potential for ongoing work
Start Date: ASAP
Job Overview:
Superior Skilled Trades is hiring experienced Carpenters - Metal Building Erectors for a project in West Bend, WI, with the potential for continued work on nearby projects. This role involves the erection of Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB) and Pole Barns, including framing, bolted connections, and siding/roofing installation. Most work will be within a 60-mile radius of West Bend, though occasional travel beyond that may be available for those open to it.
Responsibilities:
Erect structural steel and PEMB framing systems
Assemble and bolt steel connections
Construct and install pole barns
Install metal siding, roofing panels, and sheeting
Read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints
Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean and safe job site
Collaborate with crew members to complete work on schedule
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience erecting PEMBs, pole barns, or working with steel/wood framing
Skilled in bolted connections, framing, sheeting, and roof panel installation
Comfortable working at heights using lifts, scaffolding, or ladders
Must have basic hand tools and use proper PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, high-vis vest, gloves, work boots)
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to sites within 60 miles (some farther if open to it)
Strong work ethic and ability to start promptly at 6:00 AM
