Carefree Boat Club of WI & Illinois are seeking reliable employees to work in our Lake Geneva, Lake Delavan, Fox Lake, and Milwaukee River locations. Our goal is to provide our members with the highest quality boating experience, to provide a safe and easy intro into boating for new boaters and to offer the best variety of boats and ports possible. Our ultimate goal is to make boating fun, easy and affordable. This would be a seasonal position, employees can work anywhere between 20 & 40 hours weekly during the boating season.
Primary Responsibilities of a Dockhand:
- Person onsite to help on docks and boats
- Clean, refuel, cover and uncover boats daily
- Detail and perform routine maintenance weekly
- Accurately account for the security of company assets (Examples: boats, parts, dock office)
- Check-out/check-in boats and equipment and accurately inspect and record any damage
- Interact positively with members and marina personnel
- Assist member in loading gear, ice, etc¦ onto boats
- Other duties as required
Position Requirements:
- Boating and docking skills
- Cleaning and detailing skills
- Good mechanical aptitude and hands on skills
- Quick learner who pays attention to detail
- Superb organization and interpersonal skills
- Ability to troubleshoot, analyze and solve problems
- Have your own reliable vehicle to get to and from marinas
- Demonstrate high moral standards and integrity
- Knowledge in operating small power boats 20-27ft in length
