H&S Protection Systems is seeking both entry-level and experienced Low Voltage Technicians to join our team.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
-Installation of cabling
-Installation and Termination of peripheral devices
-Programming and testing of the systems
-Customer Training of the appropriate systems
-Maintenance and support, service calls of the installed systems
-Travel to various locations to replace/troubleshoot hardware equipment
-Accurately completed required paperwork
-Education/Skills/Experience
Required:
-High school diploma or equivalent is required
-1-2 years in the low voltage industry preferred
-Excellent interpersonal communication skills - verbal, written and listening
-Confident engaging with customers during the period of the project
-Solid attention to detail with good follow-through
-Ability to read and understand floor plans
-Ability to work in team environment with demonstrated positive attitude
-Valid Drivers License and proof of automobile insurance
-Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug test and background check.
-Must be able to work a rotating on-call schedule
Physical Requirements:
-Bend, lift and carry equipment on a regular basis
-Bend, lift, twist, turn, and crawl into tight spaces to install devices and equipment
-Ability to terminate cable according to color codes
-Ability to frequently climb up/down ladder (minimum 6) and perform extended overhead cabling/wiring from
ladder
-Ability to drive to job sites, to frequently get in/out of vehicle and to load/unload tools and material supplies
