We are seeking a Press Operator to become an integral part of our team! This is an entry-level position with opportunities for advancement. The primary opportunities are through a state-sponsored apprenticeship program and on the job training to learn how to setup stamping presses. This program involves company-paid classroom training at MATC on Fridays. Not only will the company cover your tuition, you will be paid to go to class. ÂÂUpon successful completion of the 18-month program, wages will approach $20 per hour and you will earn a Press Technician journey workers card from the State of Wisconsin. ÂÂWe also periodically have openings in our laser, brake press, tooling, and welding departments.ÂÂThe position offers a good deal of variety in your day to day responsibilities. There is a predictable work schedule, Monday - Thursday with occasional mandatory overtime on Fridays (max would be two weeks per month). There are abundant opportunities for voluntary overtime on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. ÂAs a small family owned company, you will have the chance to get to know everyone at the organization and make a meaningful difference towards our success!ÂResponsibilities:Operate punch and draw pressesInspect and package partsRun jobs as outlined in job instruction sheet or routingBe willing to be trained on setting up mechanical and hydraulic pressesQualifications:Must be able to read and follow written and verbal instruction from supervisor or lead personQualifications are based upon skill, knowledge, ability and previous experience or closely-related or identical workAbility to handle physical workload.ÂBe able to lift at least 50 pounds.ÂFour ten hour shifts per week (Monday - Thursday)1st shift: 4:00 AM - 2:00 PM (May be eligible for a 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM shift) - typical starting wage $15.002nd shift: 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM - typical starting wage $15.50ÂBenefits include: Affordable Health Insurance (plans start at $1.95 per week) or if your spouse provides your insurance we have a $515 monthly payment for waiving health insurance, Dental, Vision, Health Saving Accounts, advancement for skills/merit/cross-training, State Apprenticeship Programs, Life & AD&D, STD, LTD, 401(k) with Employer Match, Vacation, Holidays, Education Assistance, Gainsharing and much more!ATACO Steel Products Corporation is a privately owned metal components manufacturer, with corporate headquarters in Cedarburg, Wisconsin.
