As a Senior Product Owner, you will be a part of our growing Product Strategy department, working closely with business teams and the IS organization to create a clear product strategy, vision, and roadmap for Product Strategy's data and analytics initiatives. This is accomplished by:

  • Collaborating with Product Managers to create a clear product strategy, vision, and roadmap. Serve as a voice of the business as a member of the Agile team.
  • Creating new concepts designed to enable new and evolving business strategies, outlining a comprehensive product roadmap designed to enable necessary infrastructure to support business strategy.
  • Translating product roadmaps into epics and user stories, gathering and documenting requirements from stakeholders, and creating process flow documents as needed.
  • Working with business analysts to create necessary user stories to deliver functionality related to enhancing our data and analytics for Pricing and Product Development.
  • Communicating and collaborating the product strategy effectively to key stakeholders and key members.
  • Comprehensive idea creation and distillation of complex business processes to design business solutions, business requirements, and product concepts.
  • Ensuring product backlog items are defined, groomed, refined, and prioritized to best achieve business goals into technology deliverables.
  • Developing and presenting comprehensive solution proposals to the business community, refining based on feedback, driving buy-in, and facilitating stakeholder acceptance throughout the delivery.
  • Participating as a member of the Agile team daily, responsible for the creation of features and user stories, maintaining the backlog, and daily participation with the team as needed to provide details relative to 'what' needs to be delivered. Prioritize work and contribute to refinement of sprint planning to ensure value is delivered each sprint.
    • Works with Business Analysts, Developers, and other resources, to ensure comprehensive understanding of the product goals and priorities
    • Aligns priorities and outcomes to attainment of minimal viable product, ensuring maximum value attained for least amount of effort
  • Coordinating user acceptance testing to ensure business objectives are being met.
  • Research and defining terms for Information Governance.

Do you have what it takes?
  • Effective translation of business strategy to technology features and priorities
  • Previous data engineering, data science, or data analytics experience
  • Familiarity with tools such as Tableau or Amazon QuickSight
  • Understanding of data governance and best practices in managing data assets
  • Experience delivering through the Agile methodology
  • Roadmap planning
  • Project management principles and practices
  • Ability to effectively communicate product strategy to technical and non-technical team members
  • Change management practice; ability to address areas of transition or transformation of organizational goals and processes, as well as their effect on the people involved
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Prior experience as a business analyst and defining requirements for technology delivery
  • More than 5-7 years of recent experience performing advanced work in area of specialization
