Job Summary:

Lead the technical solutioning for the development and management of software services and applications that support our current and target-state Enterprise Case Management system. This includes driving standard methodologies, design patterns, and strategic and tactical decisions aligning with target state architecture. Coach fellow engineers, collaborate with several agile software engineering teams, understand the business ask, and, in collaboration with your Product Manager, translate that into backlog stories for multiple teams.

Your teams will look to you for technical leadership and standard methodologies to guide their work in establishing a roadmap and strategy in modernizing our current Case Management system in to an omni-present capability within our Home Office, Field, and Client experiences. Deployment environments include both internal environments and AWS cloud. As a member of the Risk Servicing software engineering team, you'll have the opportunity to work on highly visible and meaningful features that provide servicing capabilities to our Clients, Field Force, and Home Office customer service representatives.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Implement well-rounded solutions using working relationships across the enterprise.
  • Design, organize, and implement high impact solutions across teams both within and outside their division.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to translate comprehensive solutions and document as right-sized pieces of work to be consumed and completed by the larger engineering team
  • Establish, aggregates, and shares enterprise standards and best practices.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers within respective division.
  • Ensure production stability, monitoring, and root cause analysis is completed for their products.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of professional experience required
  • 5-8+ years of experience leading teams using modern engineering tools, languages, and practices.
  • Consistent record of successfully designing and delivering significant and impactful technology solutions.
  • Experience developing and leading solution delivery using agile methods.
  • Authority for the organization in one or more technologies: Microservices, event driven design, API design, cloud application architecture, data architecture
  • Successfully deals with ambiguity.
  • Recognized as the go-to guide within the division or department.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences in varying forms and levels of detail.
  • Solid understanding of design patterns and architecture.
  • Financial services experience is a plus


Experience with software engineering practices:
  • Modern programming languages (React, Node.js, Java, Python, Unix Shell)
  • Cloud technologies (CI/CD Pipelines, Git/GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS)
  • Modern integration methods (Microapps, Microservice / API, Event Streaming)
  • Case Management and Business Process Management
