This position is year round afternoon position. Hours are, but are not limited to, 11:00 am - 5:45 pm 3 - 5 days a week. Ability to substitute other shifts is highly desirable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher with providing the children with a well-organized, beautiful environment.
- Assist teacher with classroom set-up in the afternoon and class clean-up after school.
- Prepare snack set up for the classroom.
- Assisting children in diapering and the toileting learning process.
- Assist in cleaning of facility.
- Cover recess and lunch relief as needed.
- Maintain a mature, professional, respectful parent-teacher-child relationship
- Document student progress and attendance including detailed accident, incident and discipline reports.
- Become knowledgeable with Montessori terminology and methods.
- Lift a minimum of 50lbs and have full range of body movement
Qualifications:
- Needs to be 18 years of age or older
- A strong interest in Montessori education
- A minimum of 6 credits of child related courses within 30 days of employment.
- Certified in CPR/AED and first aid or certified within 30 days of employment.
- Shaken Baby Awareness class taken within 30 days of employment
- Need to be a United States citizen.
- All employees are required to pass a criminal background check and health screening.
