Five Star Plastics is looking for a Business Development Intern.

Summary:

Track and work with internal and external customers to assure that expectations are being are being met. Work with others to positively solve any challenges that are discovered.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Proactively contact clients and prospects to develop and increase new business via phone, email and internet. (some in-person contact with customers may be necessary)

Receive and log all incoming Requests for Quote from Five Star Sales group or Representatives.

Download, archive and query part files as required to facilitate RP, Tooling and Molding quotes as well as any secondary operations required by the Customer.

Network within current clients and prospects to increase share of business awarded

Update and maintain contact management database

Archive calls, contacts, and touches per week standards set forth by Manager and monthly production goals

Quote Projects to customers, and understand what is being requested.

Coordinate scheduling and timing with RP Shop Coordinator on projects before time commitments are given to clients/prospects

Utilize and understand multiple 2D and 3D software packages to optimize SLA and SLS build set up.

Evaluate integrity of data received from customers, and recommend changes.

Maintain required logs to help maintain proper tracking (build, quote, quality, delivery, and in process).

Know and understand different ways to get data to and from customers (FTP download, Email)

Keep area clean as spelled out in "Housekeeping Expectations" for area

Assist customers with process / material selection (know and understand processes / materials available).

Fill out necessary paperwork for awarded projects (Work Order), and send to required individuals.

Set timelines and relay information to internal and external (customer) individuals. Before and throughout project duration.

Work with RP, Molding, Engineering areas and Quality Group to ensure consistently accurate parts.

Know, understand, and be able to provide support and assistance for all other individuals in the RP area

Pass along knowledge gained to others.

Maintain Quality Management System compliance.

Communicate positively in all discussions.

Know and understand characteristics of molded materials as related to cast urethane and RP materials.

Qualification Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education: High School diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent or currently enrolled in Bachelor's degree program or a combination of education and experience as determined by the hiring manager.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Excellent communication skills via face to face, over the phone and written communication

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Other Skills and Abilities: Maintain a positive attitude necessary to be successful at customer contact and communication. Maintain confidentiality regarding internal information while communicating the necessary data to customers and other employees.
